The Escondido Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives adults of all ages the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and international connections.
Established to provide opportunities
for young men to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others,
the Jaycees later expanded to include women, reflecting the growing influence
and leadership of women in
America.
Jaycees have been a force for good in America and around the world. Jaycees helped establish Airmail services in America with Jaycee Charles Lindbergh, and have raised millions of dollars for causes such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and for catastrophe relief efforts. They have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly while conducting service and support programs in thousands of communities nationwide.
The Escondido Junior Chamber of Commerce was chartered April 6, 1951. It started and has sponsored the Jaycees Christmas Parade since 1951, was instrumental in the creation and formation of Kit Carson Park and numerous other community projects (such as city clean-up, acquisition of a bus for the Boys and Girls Club, EYE Counseling and Crisis Center, and Red, White and Blue Days).
Our Chapter Mission is to create the future for the Escondido Jaycees by establishing and building the membership through the development and promotion of leadership training, personal success, and community service programs.
Members of the Escondido Jaycees have many opportunities to achieve their goals and develop their skills. Whether you are interested in being a chapter officer, or simply working on a project committee, you will have the chance to sharpen skills ranging from marketing to personnel management and more! Every member has unique talents to offer, and we provide them the freedom to contribute them in any way, from training other members, to creatively using them in programs and projects. The Escondido Jaycees have accomplished great things, including:

It's often who you know
that matters, and Jaycees are people who are connected. Serving as a Jaycee
provides the opportunity to develop strong relationships with other Jaycees,
who are often people of influence. Members of our organization have gone on
to do great things and include:
The Escondido Jaycees are part of the California State Jaycees, and are affiliated with The United States Junior Chamber and Junior Chamber International. There are countless leadership opportunities for members at each of these levels.
