REGISTRATION – 7:30 AM

Registration begins at 7:30 AM and takes place at the Escondido High School parking lot located at 1535 N Broadway, Escondido, CA 92026.  Each entry will need to send a representative to the registration desk before 8:30 AM on the day of the parade. At that time, final line up will be given to the judges and no other entries will be allowed.

We highly recommend checking in before road closures take place at 8 AM.

There are designated areas for bus, equestrian and entrant drop-off. There is also limited parking at the beginning and the end of the parade route.

Please give the Map to the bus driver or the leader of your group. Please refer and adhere to the maps and all guidelines given to insure that the parade is organized and enjoyed by all.

LINE UP – 9:00 AM

All entries will need to be in their line up position no later than 9:00 AM 

STEP OFF – 9:30 AM

The Parade will start promptly at 9:30 AM on Saturday December 8,  2018.

THE PARADE ROUTE

The parade starts at Escondido High School and proceeds south on Broadway down to Grape Day Park. 

Please turn RIGHT on Woodward at the end of the Parade Route. This will take you to the parking lot behind Grape Day Park and the California Center for the Arts.

The Judges are located in front of Broadway Baptist Church (1135 N Broadway). While entries will be performing their best at this location, you will not be able to hear any announcing due to TV filming.

Announcing Stages are located at Mission & Broadway and Washington & Broadway.

IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PARADE

Christmas Parade Awards Ceremony

Approximately 30 minutes after parade conclusion at the Grape Day Park Train Depot. Thank you to the Multicultural Association for letting us use their stage and PA system!

Reminder for participants: If you competed for an award, you are required to send at least one representative from your group to the Awards Ceremony. If you do not show, you risk participation in the next year’s parade.

USA Multicultural Association Presents Escondido Holiday Festival

11am-7:00pm, Grape Day Park

Immediately following the Escondido Jaycees Christmas Parade awards ceremony, enjoy performances by Mariachi bands, Mexican folklore groups, Flamenco dancers, hip-hop singers, belly dancers, Hawaiians dancers, music bands, piñatas and more! This is a free family-friendly event.
